Data Bridge

Our little magic black box

The RoastLog Data Bridge is what allows us to collect roast data from your roaster. It is available in two versions: 4-input and 1-input.

The 4-input Data Bridge, when coupled with the appropriate plan, supports recording of up to four different time/temperature plots on each roast. The bridge connects up to four type-J or type-K thermocouples, mix-and-match.

With four different thermocouples installed, temperatures from up to four different locations may be recorded. For example, track the temperature in the:
  • Bean mass
  • Drum air
  • Exhaust air
  • Afterburner
Don’t need all four inputs? No problem – just use what you need. The software will automatically plot the traces associated with the inputs that are connected to TCs.

Single-input bridges are also available, a convenient option for profiling roasts by simply measuring the temperature of the bean mass. The single-input Data Bridge works with type-K thermocouples exclusively. The RoastLog Data Bridges

Both Data Bridge versions use mini TC connectors and standard type-A USB connections.

See our documentation section for more information on thermocouples and TC placement.
